Some Derby County supporters have taken to Twitter to comment on the latest news saying defender Curtis Davies injured his achilles in the midweek draw at Brentford.
The 35-year-old has been a rock for Derby at times this season.
In his 11 Championship starts, the Rams have only conceded nine times.

But Davies was stretchered off in the second half of the 0-0 draw at Brentford in midweek following an awkward fall. It appeared innocuous which is never a good sign.
Interim manager Wayne Rooney has since told reporters Davies has injured his achilles and will be out long-term (Athletic). Here are how some Derby fans responded to the news.
Be a shame for Curtis if that was his last game for us. He has been a good servant, as he has everywhere he played.
But we need a long term solid CH and CF and can’t rely on 35 year olds to play regularly..

Unfortunately that could be last of him in a Derby shirt given type of injury And age. Think is contract up end of season aswell. Such a shame

Poor guy. Really hope he gets to play again 🤞🤞

Doesn’t seem good. Felt he was unlucky to lose his place a few weeks back and has done well the last few games since his return. Communicates, organises and leads. Not sure Wisdom is the answer long term and Ti Wierik doesn’t not seem ‘fancied’ at all at the moment.

Thats him probably finished at Derby then.

Played his last game for us unfortunately

I’d like to see Davies on the management team, always talks sense and is a leader

Davies started the season as arguably the fifth choice centre-back.
But after shipping eight goals in the opening three games, Davies came back into the side as part of a three-man defence and helped the Rams become more solid.
His first game back was the 1-0 win at Norwich City – Phillip Cocu’s last win before his exit.
Sole interim manager Wayne Rooney has since moved back to a back four. And Davies was reinstated following the 3-0 thrashing away at Middlesbrough.

Aside from his defensive ability, the Derby captain has vast experience. His injury leaves a void and may now force Derby to bring in extra defensive cover in January.
With his contract expiring in the summer of 2021, Derby supporters are right to fear that a lengthy injury could mean he has already played his last game at Pride Park.
