Derby County supporters have taken to Twitter to lavish praise on Mason Mount following his performance against Bolton Wanderers.
The Rams got their Championship playoff bid back on track with a commanding 4-0 win over the Trotters. Craig Bryson opened the scoring, before the rest of the encounter turned into the Mason Mount show.

The Chelsea loan star netted a marvellous hat-trick, and he could have had even more. Bolton found no answer to the midfielder’s penetrating runs in a display as good as you will likely see at Championship level.
Taking to social media after the game, Derby supporters couldn’t hide their delight at Mount’s contribution.
Absolute privilege watching Mason Mount. 👏 Need to eradicate the achilles heel that is the away form… Up the Rams! Roll on Brum away.. 🍻 ⚽ 🐏 #dcfc

Can't believe that #dcfc team was the same 11 as Tues night. If we'd got a little more out of those gritty away games could've been a different story this season.
And please can we keep Mason Mount. Amazing influence on the game. What a talent 👌⚫⚪— Nathan Morley (@ndmorley) April 13, 2019

How Mason Mount tormented Bolton Wanderers at Pride Park:
Aside from his three well-taken goals, Mount was a constant thorn in Bolton’s side. He racked up a whopping 102 touches, posted seven shots on goal and completed 85.5% of his intended passes.
Mount’s display was reminiscent of his manager Frank Lampard during his Chelsea days. The 20-year-old has all the attributes to go to the very top, and this was his latest demonstration.

Mount’s importance to Derby was noted during his 10-game absence following an injury sustained in January. The Rams managed to win just two of those games, slipping out of the top six as a result.
Since the midfielder’s return, Lampard’s side have scored an incredible 13 goals in four games including a 6-1 thrashing of Rotherham United. Keeping Mount fit is Derby’s best chance of making the top six.

After the season, however, the east Midlands side’s chances of retaining the Chelsea man are slim. A recent report in the Daily Mail claim Bundesliga side RB Leipzig are keen on loaning him, while Mount won’t be short of Premier League suitors either.
