Some Derby County supporters have taken to Twitter to praise the performance of midfielder Krystian Bielik following the 0-0 draw at Brentford on Wednesday.

Bielik put in a Man of the Match performance at Millwall last weekend.

And now the Poland international has followed that up with another superb display in the capital, this time coming in the 0-0 draw away at high-flying Brentford.

Bielik’s return the starting XI has helped Derby add extra steel and class in midfield.

Taking to Twitter after the game, some feel the 22-year-old is Derby’s key player right now.

Krystian Bielik cost Derby a fee rising to £10 million in the summer of 2019.

Many questioned why the Rams spent big on a player who only featured in League One during the 2018-19 campaign. However, it is now evident he has special qualities.

Bielik has missed the majority of 2020 after suffering a cruciate knee ligament injury. Derby have badly missed him, as did former manager Phillip Cocu.

Since returning to the midfield, Bielik has helped the struggling Rams go four Championship games unbeaten under the guidance of sole interim manager Wayne Rooney.

Against Brentford, Bielik was disciplined and protected the back four. He posted 11 duels won, seven aerial winners, four clearances and a whopping eight ball recoveries.

Bielik has huge potential, and it’s vital Derby build around the former Arsenal man alongside the likes of Kamil Jozwiak, Jason Knight, Lee Buchanan, Max Bird and Louie Sibley.
