TEAMtalk claim Derby, Forest, Birmingham City and Charlton Athletic are among several Championship clubs monitoring his progress in League Two.

After scoring during Crewe’s 1-1 draw with Morecombe, Ng was nominated for the League Two player of the weekend award.

Lucas Leiva took to Twitter to ask Liverpool supporters to vote for him.

Ng ultimately won the contest with 89.5% of more than 10,000 votes.

The 23-year-old defender can play either at centre-back or as a fullback. This season, he has predominantly featured as a fullback.

Crewe manager David Arteli told Chesire Live how Ng is a born leader.

Derby have exciting fullbacks in Max Lowe and Jayden Bogle. However, should the latter be sold to the Premier League this summer, the Rams will need a replacement.

Forest, meanwhile, may see the defender as an ideal option to strike a bargain. Hs contract at Crewe expires in 2021 so he could be available at a cut-price.
