Turkish football pundit Serkan Akcan believes if playing time had been invested in Ferdi Kadioglu the attacker could fetch £20 million this summer, Haber365 report.

According to Fotospor, Derby were looking at the player ahead of the January transfer window.

Kadioglu was signed by current Derby boss Phillip Cocu during his spell at Fenerbahce.

Speaking to reporters, Serkan Akcan rates the player highly and feels if manager Ersun Yanal played him more often then he could fetch a huge fee this summer.

If the investment made, the time given and care shown to Ferdi Kadıoğlu was the same as Tolga Ciğerci, then Ferdi could be sold for a minimum of 25 million dollars in June. The problem is that manager Ersun Yanal did not show the courage to give Ferdi the opportunity and that is his most criticised issue at the moment. If Ersun Yanal leaves the team, he will pay the price of the tolerance he did not show to Ferdi.

Ferdi Kadioglu struggles for regular game time in Turkey:

Kadioglu has appeared in 19 games for Fenerbahce this season in all competitions, scoring four goals and grabbing two assists.

The 20-year-old is direct, quick on the ball and possesses trickery to beat players.

Derby were seemingly looking at him to solve a lack of creativity. Cocu knows him well, and his versatility could have been ideal at Pride Park this season.

Fenerbahce, however, seemingly wanted to keep hold of the youngster.

But questions have been asked of his lack of involvement. Kadiouglu was left out of the starting eleven against rivals Galatasaray as Fenerbahce crashed to a 3-1 defeat.

Derby would be wise to monitor his situation ahead of the summer.
