Derby County faced off with Coventry City in a Championship clash on Wednesday evening.
Derby County headed into the game looking to put an end to their torrid run of form when playing away from Pride Park.
The Rams lost 2-1 to Stoke City over the weekend, meaning they had picked up a dismal two points on the road in the Championship this term.
That defeat also meant Paul Warne’s side had moved down to 16th in the league table and were in danger of dropping into the relegation zone prior to Wednesday’s fixtures getting underway, sitting just three points above 22nd-place Luton Town.
As for Coventry City, they have struggled to find their top form in 2024/25 so far but did turn over play-off-chasing Middlesbrough in their last outing.
In turn, a tight clash was expected at the Coventry Building Society Arena, with both sides knowing a win would have been massive for their seasons.

Derby County fans left frustrated after Coventry City
Derby took the lead just after 10 minutes when Jerry Yates latched onto a poor backpass from a Coventry defender.
However, it is fair to say that Warne’s men were still far from their best on the night and were lucky not to concede an equaliser in the first 45.
One aspect of the game Derby really struggled with on Wednesday was passing, with fans left very frustrated at their team’s inability to keep hold of the ball.
One fan tweeted on X/Twitter: “Why can’t we play simple passes, frustrates the life out of me.”
A second added: “Frustrating to watch this – sloppy passing, we’re far too far back. Far too easy to press currently.”
Another Derby supporter stated: “Let’s not allow that gift of a goal disguise the fact that the passing once again is dreadful. Cashin the chief culprit.”
A fourth fan wrote: “Our passing is Sunday league standard”, while a fifth added: “Kenzo is giving the ball away far too much!!”
A sixth Rams fan wrote: “Any danger of our lads stringing more than two passes together before giving it away?”
Another fan added: “Our passing is absolutely terrible. Need to do the basics so much better,” while an eighth posed an interesting question to Warne, writing: “Someone ask Paul Warne if we practice passing on training.. feels it’s like 50 percent accuracy.”

Derby County passing should worry Paul Warne
The Coventry clash was not the first time Derby have struggled to string together passes this season.
Prior to Wednesday, the Rams had a 72.5 percent pass completion rate in the league, which was the joint-fourth lowest.
Only Luton Town, Portsmouth and Millwall had completed fewer of their attempted passes in the Championship this term than Derby.
With two of that trio starting the day in the relegation zone, Warne must be careful his side do not face a similar fate in the near future due to their own poor passing.
