British & Commonwealth Heavyweight Champion boxer Fabio Wardley has sent a message to one of Derby County’s summer signings.
Derby County have had an active summer transfer window so far as they aim to avoid relegation from the Championship in 2024/25.
Paul Warne guided the Rams to a second-place finish in League One, boasting the best defence in the division.
However, that does not guarantee success in the Championship and Derby will need to be smart in how they strengthen this summer.
So far, the new additions at Pride Park all, on paper at least, appear to be good signings for the club.
Ben Osborn has joined on a free transfer from Sheffield United, bolstering Derby’s previously weak midfield ranks.
Jerry Yates has also signed on loan from Swansea City for the 2024/25 season, bringing a wealth of experience and goal threat.
In a further addition to their attacking ranks, Derby recently confirmed the capture of Kayden Jackson on a free transfer.

Fabio Wardley sends message to Derby County signing Kayden Jackson
Jackson made the move to Pride Park after his contract with Ipswich Town expired at the end of last month.
The 30-year-old joined Ipswich in 2019, going on to make 199 appearances in all competitions for the Tractor Boys.
The long-serving star scored three and assisted four during Ipswich’s promotion-winning season but the club have now decided to part ways with the forward.
Following his exit from Portman Road, Jackson received a goodbye message from British & Commonwealth Heavyweight Champion boxer, Fabio Wardley.
After Jackson confirmed his move to Derby on X/Twitter, Wardley quote tweeted the post with the message ‘All the best my brother’.
Derby County have quality striker depth after Jackson signing
Derby’s biggest strength in their promotion-winning season was their defence, conceding just 37 goals in 46 matches.
Their attack, meanwhile, was not overly impressive. James Collins ended 2023/24 as the club’s top scorer in League One with 14 goals.
Conor Washington was Derby’s back-up number nine option but he netted just three times in what was an injury-hit campaign for the player.
However, with Washington back fit and Yates and Jackson arriving at the club this summer, Warne now has a plethora of striking options to pick from.
Jackson scored 28 times during his stint with Ipswich, while Yates found the net nine times in 2023/24 alone.
