Derby County picked up a third win in five Championship games as Paul Warne saw his side beat Cardiff City 1-0 at Pride Park on Saturday afternoon.
The Rams beat Bristol City 3-0 before the international break and still managed to take that momentum into the clash with Cardiff City.
The winner came in the first half as neat play down the left side saw Callum Elder cross into the box for Kenzo Goudmijn to score for Derby County.
Goudmijn neatly finished from around 10 yards out, having also opened the scoring against Bristol City last month.
Derby couldn’t find a second as Elder and Kayden Jackson went close before Ebou Adams quite remarkably failed to score from an open goal.
The Rams still secured the win, sitting eighth in the Championship table with nine points from the first five games.

Callum Elder hails Derby County’s Kenzo Goudmijn
Boss Paul Warne will be delighted with his team’s display and some individuals really stood out.
Elder impressed up the left flank for Derby and he certainly deserved his assist as he continues his strong start to the new season.
The Australian preferred to focus the attention elsewhere though and heaped praise on midfielder Goudmijn.
Goudmijn arrived from AZ Alkmaar in July and is already making a real impact in this Derby side.
Elder has now told Derby’s official website that he thinks Goudmijn is truly ‘terrific’, not just as a player but also as a person.
The Rams left back added that Goudmijn is showing his ability in tight areas and praised the way he has settled into life at the club.
“He’s a terrific footballer; he takes the ball in any area, and in tight areas, he has good feet,” said Elder.
“Above all that, he’s a terrific lad. He’s settled into the group really well and the lads have welcomed him with open arms, and he’s felt that, and I think you can see in his performances he feels settled in here, as a player and as a person. So, we’re delighted to have him. He’s a terrific player,” he added.
Pride Park is a fortress for Derby County
Saturday’s win means Derby have not only won three from three at Pride Park this season, but haven’t even conceded a goal in that run.
Middlesbrough, Bristol City and now Cardiff City have all failed to score in defeat to the Rams.
This goes back even further though as Derby haven’t even conceded a home goal in league action since the 2-1 win over Reading in March.
Derby then ended the season with wins over Bolton Wanderers, Blackpool, Leyton Orient and Carlisle United without conceding a goal.
Only four teams won at Pride Park in League One last season and Warne is ensuring that Derby remain a nightmare for any travelling team this season.
