Derby County boss Phillip Cocu doesn’t believe Jack Marriott will feature against Luton Town and expects him to be back after the international break, RamsTV report.
The former Peterborough United striker missed the game at Barnsley in midweek.

Many speculated as to whether Cocu had dropped the player in favour of Tom Lawrence and Mason Bennett returning, but Marriott was later ruled out with injury.
Speaking ahead of Luton’s visit on Saturday, Cocu remains doubtful he will feature.
He [Jack Marriott] didn’t train today. Very doubtful he will be able to play [against Luton Town]. We still have one more day, but I expect after the international break he will be back.

Marriott has struggled to get going this season. The 25-year-old missed the opening three games of the season before returning in the defeat to Bristol City.
Marriott is an extremely popular figure at Pride Park. Most Rams fans believe he is the club’s best finisher but finding a system to get the best out of him is a challenge.
Against Leeds United, he looked frustrated with the lack of service. Chris Martin replaced him on 73 minutes and went on to grab the equaliser in stoppage time.
Martin has since netted another two goals in two starts. Derby are playing better with him acting as a pivot upfront, allowing fellow attackers to push on beyond him.

Still, Marriott adds energy and he contributed with an assist in the 3-2 win against Birmingham City. When fit, Derby must find a way to integrate him in the XI.
