Derby County return to Championship action against Preston North End on Saturday following the November break.

The Rams head to Deepdale for a 3pm Championship kick-off, looking to earn a rare away victory.

Derby County were held to a 1-1 draw by Wayne Rooney’s Plymouth Argyle in their last fixture before the November international break.

Said result leaves Paul Warne’s side 12th in the Championship table ahead of the upcoming round of games – six points off the play-offs and four away from the relegation zone.

Preston North End, meanwhile, are 20th in the division but their form has improved somewhat over the last month or so, earning draws with high-flyers Sunderland and Norwich City.

Here is everything you need to know about Derby ahead of kick-off in the North West, including all the latest injury news.

Derby County team and injury news vs Preston North End

Derby County have a number of injury concerns going into Saturday afternoon’s Championship clash.

Callum Elder was injured vs Coventry City last month and is once again expected to miss out versus Preston.

Ryan Nyambe suffered a serious knee injury against Millwall last month and is facing up to six months on the sidelines.

Elsewhere, Jacob Rooney recently featured for the Rams’ U21 side as he steps his return to action.

Warne provided an injury update on David Ozoh ahead of Preston, with the midfielder is once again set to miss Derby’s latest tie.

Derby County predicted line-up vs Preston North End

With Elder likely ruled out of this game, Craig Forsyth is expected to keep his place at left-back.

There should be one change to Derby’s backline, however, with star centre-back Erin Cashin expected to replace Nat Phillips after returning from suspension.

With Ozoh still out, Warne’s midfield will look similar to the one that lined out against Plymouth earlier this month.

But there could be one big change in attack. Warne has a major decision over whether to play Kayden Jackson or Corey Blackett-Taylor on the wing.

Blackett-Taylor has been labelled ‘magnificent’ and deserves a chance to prove himself in the eleven, with fans expressing their eagerness to see him given a proper run in the side.

Here’s how we think Derby will line up against Preston on Saturday…

Derby County (4-3-3): Zetterstrom; Wilson, Cashin, Nelson, Forsyth; Adams, Thompson, Goudmijn; Blackett-Taylor, Mendez-Laing, Yates.
