Nearly three years after his Derby County exit, Matej Vydra looks to have finally found his feet at Burnley under the management of Sean Dyche.
The Czech Republic international has scored more goals for the Clarets this season than in the previous two combined, a couple of which have come in a recent purple patch for the forward having scored two and assisted one in his last four appearances.

Vydra’s sweet strike in a 3-2 defeat against Southampton today was his fifth goal of the current campaign, his fourth was against Leicester City in a 1-1 draw last month and his previous three came in FA Cup and EFL Cup ties respectively.
Starting the last nine games that he has been available for, the ex-Ram is enjoying his longest spell of starts since signing for the club and looks to have at long last stamped his authority in the starting lineup.

Signed from Watford for Derby in 2016, Vydra went on to make 80 appearances under Nigel Pearson, Steve McClaren and Gary Rowett in his two year stay at the club, netting 27 goals and recording five assists.
In his final season with the Rams he finished as the Championship’s top scorer, it is impossible not to miss a player of his quality.
