Polish editorial SportTVP have dubbed Derby County winger Kamil Jozwiak a ‘treasure’ and tip him to become the long-term replacement for Kamil Grosicki.
Jozwiak may not have enjoyed the best of seasons at Derby following his move last summer, but on the international scene he is quickly becoming a prominent figure.
The former Lech Poznan man has made 13 appearances for Poland’s national team.
During the last international break, he provided two assists and scored a goal in games against Hungary and Andorra before impressing off bench against England.
Jozwiak can now look forward to becoming a big figure for Poland at the upcoming European Championships, with national editorial SportTVP calling him a treasure.
“Such a winger is a treasure. Clever, one-on-one idea. Resentment, aggressiveness. Jóźwiak is a typical winger who enters the field and immediately gives his friends a signal: “On them!”. And what is important – he does it wisely. There is not only dynamics here, but also – most often – a good idea. The Derby winger is at the beginning of his journey. He is still a long way from Grosicki’s achievements, but he is well on his way to taking over his role for good. A man who will take the team into battle, even when things go wrong,” SportTVP write.
Kamil Jozwiak has a big summer ahead:
Jozwiak has exciting attributes which could take him far.
The 23-year-old is quick, direct and possesses excellent close control.
Derby didn’t see the best of him this past season. However, much of that was down to a lack of quality around him and a style of football which didn’t play to his strengths.
Several Polish editorials lavished praise on Jozwiak after the last international break.
Jozwiak is one of a few valuable assets which Derby possess, and the Rams will hope a good European Championships will see his stock rise further.
