Derby County did not let go of many players at the end of last season following their failure to reach the play-offs.
However, six players did end up leaving, including an academy prospect who became a fans favourite.
Here we rank each of the six players that left Derby in the summer based on how well they have done for their clubs so far this season.
Richard Stearman
Richard Stearman made the move to non-league level, joining Solihull Moors in the National League.
He has made 19 appearances with Moors sat in fourth position, but he has been criticised for his recent performances.
Curtis Davies
Curtis Davies left the club after six years of service, where he made over 150 appearances for the club.
He made the move to fellow League One side Cheltenham Town in the summer, but the Robins started awfully, failing to score a goal until their twelfth game against Derby.
They have picked up under the management of Darrell Clarke, but still remain in the relegation zone. Davies has made nine appearances in the league.
James Chester
James Chester left the club in the summer and ended up making the move to League Two side Barrow.
He has so far made eleven appearances in the league for them, in what has been a surprisingly successful season so far for Pete Wild’s men, with them say in a play-off position.
Krystian Bielik
Krystian Bielik made his move permanent to Birmingham City after spending last season on loan in the second city.
He has so far made 15 appearances, impressing founder former Rams player John Eustace, before former Derby manager Wayne Rooney took over.
David McGoldrick
David McGoldrick left the club to join his hometown club Notts County in the summer, after a brilliant season for Derby.
Notts are currently third in League Two after winning promotion from the National League last season, with McGoldrick getting seven goals and three assists so far.
Jason Knight
Jason Knight finally left the club after years of rumours linking him with a move away.
He joined former Derby manager Nigel Pearson at Bristol City, and so far he has made 16 appearances in the second tier.
