Derby County star Nathaniel Mendez-Laing has delivered his verdict on his own form after scoring in the draw against Crewe Alexandra.
Crewe looked to be heading to the second round of the FA Cup, leading 2-0 courtesy of goals from Courtney Baker-Richardson and Elliott Nevitt.
But the Rams managed to come from behind to secure a replay at Pride Park, with Nathaniel Mendez-Laing scoring in the 89th minute, before Conor Hourihane got the equaliser in the third minute of injury time.
Paul Warne said after the game that he was proud of his team’s performance.
If Derby win the replay, they will host fellow League One side Bristol Rovers.
In-form star discusses his form
His goal on Sunday is now his fourth goal in four games, as his impressive form continues.
Speaking to the club website, Mendez-Laing shared his delight over his fine form of late.
“I was buzzing. I always want to contribute whether it was a goal or assist. I got a bit of luck from the goalkeeper but we take them all day long! Hopefully we can go on and get some more wins now.
“You always want to score goals and create goals, it’s what I’m here to do. As long as I can keep that up, I will be happy. A win would have made it even better today, but we’re in still in the hat.”

Mendez-Laing is in brilliant form, carrying Derby in some games.
As aforementioned, his goal on Sunday was his fourth goal in his last four games.
