Derby County boss Paul Warne has heaped praise on James Collins’ performance against Blackpool, claiming it is the best he’s seen him play.
Derby walked out 3-1 winners against Blackpool on Tuesday night in a League One result which saw them move toward a playoff place.
On the scoresheet for the Rams was was James Collins, Korey Smith and Martin Waghorn.
Paul Warne sees the win help his side rise up to seventh in the table, a point off the playoffs.
Speaking post-match, Warne had praise for a particular player.

Speaking to the official club website after the game, Warne hailed his goalscoring striker James Collins. He also admitted the performance was probably the best he’s seen from Collins.
“Collo [Collins] took his goal really well and that was the best I have seen him play for me. Out of possession, he was so good.
“He worked so hard and to get a goal was what he deserved. To break away to get the third goal for Waggy to seal it was excellent too and it felt nice because it meant we didn’t have to hang on and get a bit jittery.”
Collins’ goal was his fifth of the seasoned will be looking to add more in order to help push Derby toward promotion.
The Irishman has entered the last 12 months of his contract at Pride Park with no talks yet over a new deal.
