An EFL pundit has made a very bold prediction about Paul Warne’s future at Derby County.
Paul Warne guided Derby County to a 2nd place finish in League One last season, earning promotion to the Championship after a two-year stint for the Rams in the third tier.
This summer, Derby County have signed seven new players for their first-team, with fans particularly excited about certain individuals in names like Kenzo Goudmijn.
And Warne is hoping for more Derby County transfers in the coming weeks, before the summer transfer window slams shut.
Many will back Derby County to struggle in the Championship next season. But Rams fans are quietly optimistic about their side’s chances in what promises to be another gruelling Football League season.
For Warne, it’s another crack at the Championship. He’s more than proved himself in League One with Derby and Rotherham United previously, but he’s often suffered Championship relegation in his managerial career.
Now, EFL pundit Justin Peach has made a bold prediction about Warne’s future at Pride Park going into the new campaign.

Justin Peach makes bold Paul Warne prediction at Derby County
Speaking on the Second Tier Podcast, Peach gave his verdict on Derby County’s pre-season, and on Warne ahead of the new campaign.
Derby lost their previous three friendlies before Saturday’s clash with Valladolid, losing against Barnsley, Shrewsbury Town, and Chesterfield.
Peach now believes that Warne could be the first managerial casualty in the Championship next season, saying: “I’m not a massive fan of Paul Warne.
“I keep reiterating; he’s a lovely guy, he can galvanise a squad, but again, I’m not going to read into pre-season too much either, I don’t think it’s looked great so far.
“But I think Paul Warne will be the first manager to be sacked in this Championship season.
“For me, I just don’t think Paul Warne is a manager who has the tactical nous to compete in the Championship, nor do I think he has the quality to keep a team going for the entirety of a second tier campaign.”

Paul Warne has huge chance to prove doubters wrong with new-look Derby County
There’s no hiding from the fact that Derby County’s pre-season results have been mixed, if not disappointing overall.
And there’s also no denying that the Rams still lack quality and depth in few key areas of the squad head of their opening game vs Blackburn Rovers next weekend.
But Warne and his recruitment team have added some definite quality and excitement to their ranks this summer.
There’s a feel-good factor about the club following promotion and Warne has certainly helped to instil that.
Peach’s comments won’t go down well with fans who’ve warmed to Warne, though his previous track record in the Championship would suggest that Derby may struggle next season.
Beating the drop would be a huge achievement next season. But if Derby County can’t sign a new striker this month, and don’t scour the loan market for some extra depth, then they could struggle early doors next season, and Warne may well come under the spot light.
