Derby County boss Paul Warne has given an update on the injury situation surrounding his team after their clash with Oxford United.
The Rams came out of the match with a point on the road, despite moments where they weren’t at their best.
Dane Scarlett’s opener was cancelled out by Nathaniel Mendez-Laing’s first goal of the campaign, which saw the two newly promoted sides searching for a winner.
While one didn’t come, Derby walk away from it with a third game unbeaten and two important points on the road to stop the rot of defeats.
There are, however, some rather negative injury updates that followed as Warne gave the latest on Ryan Nyambe’s condition.

Ryan Nyambe injury update
One star missing from the squad on Tuesday night was Ryan Nyambe as the defender picked up a knee problem against Millwall over the weekend.
The right-back was substituted during the match after taking the knock, which saw Kane Wilson ushered into his place.
Nyambe was sent for scans on Monday for a clearer picture on the injury, which looked set to keep him out for at least a few weeks.
The wider picture is actually a lot more concerning as Warne told BBC Radio Derby that the timescale is looking like months.
Reporter Dominic Dietrich posted on X: “Paul Warne confirmed to us on BBC Derby Sport that Ryan Nyambe will be out for 4-6 months. Really feel for Nyambe who was playing some of his best football. Another setback for him.”
Warne later confirmed that it was a PCL (Posterior cruciate ligament) injury, which won’t require surgery but will take plenty of time to recover.
It comes as a major blow to the Rams, given the defensive skillset often on display by Nyambe in those big moments.

Derby County injury latest
There is other mixed news on the injury front as Warne confirmed on RamsTV that Kenzo Goudmijn had a bit of pain when he was substituted during the clash with Oxford – many will be hoping that is merely a knock.
Nathaniel Mendez-Laing was also slightly jaded after his international appearances for Guatemala over the break, with the winger receiving more time than expected on the pitch.
There was some positive news in that Jake Rooney is returning from injury as he played 90 minutes for the under-21s on Monday night.
David Ozoh is inching closer to a return, though the Crystal Palace loanee wasn’t involved on the bench for either away games at Millwall or Oxford.
