Derby County haven’t received any new offers for Eiran Cashin.

Paul Warne confirmed in today’s pre-match press conference that there is no movement on the defender’s potential exit, though he has admitted that Cashin has been affected by the transfer talk.

The ‘faultless’ 21-year-old has received plenty of plaudits over the last year or so for his stellar performances in the Rams’ defence and it has unsurprisingly led to interest in his signature.

With only a year left on his contract, Brighton & Hove Albion have made a number of bids to lure Cashin to the Premier League in recent weeks.

The club have since turned them all down and will reportedly demand upwards of £3 million to consider parting ways with the youngster. If they were to let him go then they would reportedly also demand to retain him on a season-long loan as part of any deal.

However, the Seagulls are yet to make a further offer for Cashin as we enter the final week of the transfer window.

Warne believes that they could still see another bid come in next week and admitted the centre-back is very worthy of the interest.

“We haven’t received any fresh offers,” Warne said.

“That doesn’t mean a fresh offer won’t come in and that doesn’t mean a conversation won’t be had with a fresh offer.

“I am not trying to be secretive. Everyone is affordable to every other club aren’t they really?

“I appreciate where we are in the pyramid and I appreciate how good Cash was last year.

“But I do think (speculation) has affected him a little bit. But I thought the other day was the best he has been.

“He was more like himself and maybe the rumours have gone away a little bit and that’s helped him concentrate on his football.

“In fairness, if he plays at a certain level there will always be rumours about him, potential moves for him and good luck to him.

“In the meantime, I need him to perform to the team. There are no fresh offers I am aware of and if there was then I would tell you.”
