Sibley followed that up with a stunning hat-trick at Millwall, while another strike at Birmingham on the final day took his tally to five goals and two assists in nine league starts.
Queens Park Rangers ace Ebere Eze is a proven quality. Leeds United’s Kalvin Phillips is a potential future England international, while Said Benrahma is superb.
But Sibley is the latest talent to dominate the headlines in the Championship.
Football.London claim Arsenal have him on their radar. Dubbed a talented and tenacious player, the London editorial add he could be a perfect addition for the Gunners.
Derby, meanwhile, will surely value the youngster highly.
The Rams have sold fellow academy stars Jeff Hendrick and Will Hughes for modest fees in recent years. They can’t make the same mistake again with Sibley.
When asked about Sibley’s market value by Ryan Conway back in June, manager Phillip Cocu joking said he doesn’t believe anybody could afford him.
