TEAMtalk claim Derby, Forest, Birmingham City, Bristol City and Charlton Athletic are keen with Ng’s contract at Crewe expiring this coming summer.

But the 23-year-old admitted he remains grounded amid speculation over his future.

There are a lot of people involved in football, especially agents, who message you every week trying to get different things done. I don’t really listen to it anymore. You have to ignore them and concentrate on yourself and play football. The way I look at it now is if someone wants me they’ll come and get me, if not I’ll carry on here. I’m happy here so it doesn’t bother me.

Ng is a product of Crewe’s academy having joined the club aged six.

The central defender, who started out as right-back, became Crewe’s captain this season and has helped the club to third place in League Two right now.

Both Derby and Forest have been linked with him as they seek a potential bargain.

The Rams are short on central defenders after the sacking of Richard Keogh. Curtis Davies, 34, and Craig Forsyth, 31, both have question marks over their future.

Derby have agreed pre-contract terms with Mike te Wierik. The Groningen captain will join the Rams at the end of the season. But the club will need one or two more.

Forest, meanwhile, may see Ng as a player with great potential. The Reds are also short on long-term defensive options and will need to strengthen there this summer.
