Derby County travel to Nottingham Forest this weekend in what should be an entertaining Championship clash between the two East Midlands rivals.

At home, Derby have racked up four straight victories. On the road, however, they haven’t won since the opening game of the season at Huddersfield Town.

What better time or place to pick up a much-needed three points on the road? Here is how we believe Derby will line up against the Reds at the City Ground.

Derby’s Scott Malone is the only fresh injury worry. The £3 million left-back signed by Frank Lampard in the summer of 2018 picked up a knee injury against Boro.

It means Max Lowe takes his place. Lowe spent a chunk of the early campaign filling in for Jayden Bogle at right-back, but now he can switch to his preferred side.

The rest of the team should remain unchanged from the victory over Boro.

Manager Phillip Cocu utilised a diamond last Saturday. It got the best out of Tom Lawrence who scored twice, while Jack Marriott and Chris Martin showed an understanding.

Derby have already played Forest this season. It was a night to forget as the Rams lost 3-0 in the Carabao Cup. This Saturday, however, should have a much different feel.

There is notable improvement in Derby’s play. Forest, meanwhile, lost their last home game 2-0 to Hull City but the Reds remain in the playoff places ahead of the weekend.
