According to Football League World, Premier League outfit West Ham are keeping a close eye on Derby County youngsters Lee Buchanan and Louie Sibley.

In his first full season as a regular member of the first team squad, Buchanan has made 33 appearances for the Rams this season, battling with veteran Craig Forsyth for the left-back spot.

The Hammers supposedly ‘really like’ the 20-year-old and a deal may not even prove costly with his contract set to expire next summer.

Alongside Buchanan on David Moyes’ wish list is 19-year-old Sibley. After bursting onto the scene at the back end of the last campaign, the midfielder hasn’t quite hit the heights expected of him under Wayne Rooney.

With 29 appearances to his name this season, the academy graduate has scored just once, assisting another – his poor form hasn’t done him too much harm though clearly.

The east London outfit are reportedly continuing to monitor Sibley’s situation and a deal may be more likely should the Rams need to free up funds in the summer, perhaps less likely now it seems that Erik Alonso’s takeover is imminent.
