Some Derby County supporters have taken to Twitter to lavish praise on Max Bird following another assured performance against Swansea City.

Martyn Waghorn, Duane Holmes and Tom Lawrence grabbed the goals for Derby in what was a topsy-turvy game the visitors ended up winning 3-2. But holding midfielder Max Bird was arguably the pick of the bunch as he put in another excellent display.
Some Derby fans think the club have a real talent on their hands.

Max Bird, Wayne Rooney and Duane Holmes are literally the first names on the team sheet for me currently. That is a huge credit to Max Bird, he’s really looking better and better every week. #dcfc #dcfcfans

Max Bird came through the Derby academy.
The 19-year-old was handed his debut in the 4-0 defeat at Aston Villa last season. Many felt he wasn’t ready at the time, and he later returned to U23 action.
But current manager Phillip Cocu hasn’t been afraid to call him back up.
Bird’s breakout performance came in the 2-1 home win against Charlton Athletic. The Rams spent the majority of the game down to 10 men after Krystian Bielik’s red card.
Bileik’s suspension and later his injury has allowed Bird to retain his place.
The former Derby academy scholar of the year hasn’t looked back. At Swansea, he posted a team-best 91.4% pass-accuracy rate as he kept play ticking over.
