Curtis Davies made the shocking decision to accept an international call-up from Sierra Leone at the age of 38.
Curtis Davies is a dependable defender and has been a Premier League player in recent memory.
With a CV that includes spells with Aston Villa, Birmingham City, Hull City and West Bromwich Albion, Davies is a well known player in England.
Davies also spent six years at Pride Park with Derby. In this time he was club captain and won player of the season in 2022/23.
Upon leaving Derby, Davies joined Cheltenham Town on a one year deal in League One.
One thing that has happened recently is an international call-up from Sierra Leone, on this, Davies has been reacting.

Speaking to the BBC, Davies explained his shock to receiving the call, he said: “I was like, ‘You know I’m 38, right?'”
Before continuing, “It’s always been a big thing in the back of my mind, but I didn’t think the opportunity would come again.”
“It will be amazing,” said Davies of his potential debut.
“I’m proud to be English and proud to be Sierra Leonean – more so because I never expected it to come.
“The fact that it’s come this late in my career almost makes it more special.”
Davies made his debut for Sierra Leone on Tuesday in a friendly which saw his new national allegiance face Somalia in Morocco.
It’s unclear how he performed however with a 2-0 victory, it would be safe to assume he was good, keeping a clean sheet on his debut.
