Some Derby County supporters have taken to Twitter to criticise Tom Lawrence following his display in the 1-1 draw with Championship rivals Sheffield Wednesday.
The Rams were looking to end a winless run of three games against the Owls.
The first half display, however, was as bad as it has been all season. Derby were woeful, and at times it looked like men against boys as Steven Fletcher opened the scoring.

The second half was a big improvement. Chris Martin’s penalty earned Derby a draw, and the forward was by far the Rams’ best player on the night.
Wales international Tom Lawrence, on the other hand, had a game to forget.
@BBCDerby thought Jason Knight was excellent. Cant help but notice the lazy arrogant Tom Lawrence has returned. Offered us nothing. It’s like playing with 10! #dcfc

Holmes and Evans are no where near the levels required, Holmes stats for an attacking midfielder are terrible. Lawrence on current form is also like playing with10 men. Desperately lacking Shinnie and Bielik in there. #dcfc

Knight was good. Holmes and Lawrence awful gave the ball away so much

Forsyth certainly no Maldini when it comes to playing out from the back; Lawrence awful; like the look of Knight but Whittaker clearly not ready yet; always good to see Chrissie on the scoresheet, deserved for his second half showing! #dcfc

No good only playing for 25 mins of a 90 minute game.
Malone, Evans, Lawrence etc all so poor. Lowe is much better at LB. Desperately need Jan window.#dcfc

Also Lawrence- largely been terrible all season/ when he has scored they have been lucky goals- his play does not contribute to derby’s game at allll#dcfc

When was the last time we had any pace? It puzzles me how we think we can get away without any. Martin has his invisible caravan in tow again tonight. Evans is as poor a midfielder as you could want, Lawrence his usual poor self with no end product. #dcfc

Derby fans frustrated by Tom Lawrence’s lack of consistency.
Lawrence has potential. He has shown on occasions how he can be a top Championship player, but those dazzling performances are few and far between.
The 25-year-old has five goals this season. He was superb on the opening day of the season but followed that up with a succession of displays where he would go missing.
After his off-field incident, his two goals against Middlesbrough helped him win over some doubters. But since then, it’s been another run of disappointing form.
Against Sheffield Wednesday, he posted a 62.1% pass accuracy rate and had five unsuccessful touches. He was Derby’s most wasteful player in possession.

Lawrence is seen as Derby’s go-to creative player. However, with a mere two assists in his last 50 Championship games, he is falling way short of expectations.
