Some Millwall supporters have taken to Twitter to comment on Scott Malone’s message in the aftermath of Millwall’s 1-0 win over Derby County at Pride Park on Saturday.

The Lions picked up all three points following Shaun Hutchinson’s first-half header.

Derby pressed for an equaliser, but they fell short despite dominating large spells.

Malone, on loan at Millwall from Derby, was absent for the encounter due to an arrangement between the two clubs but he was certainly following the action closely.

Writing on Twitter after, the left wingback certainly wasn’t afraid to show where his loyalties lie, and his ‘Big W’ message was well received by the Millwall supporters.

Derby supporters, meanwhile, were understandably critical of the player.

Malone is still contracted by Derby, though the former Fulham man is out of contract in the summer and has seemingly already played his last game for the Rams.

Ironically, Malone’s four goals for Millwall this term would make him Derby’s second leading scorer with only Colin Kazim-Richard’s tally of seven bettering the wingback.

Malone showed plenty of quality during his first year at Derby, helping the Rams reach the playoff final under former manager Frank Lampard.

But the 29-year-old later lost his place to Max Lowe last season, while the emergence of Lee Buchanan saw him surplus to requirements heading in to the 2020/21 campaign.
