Derby County face Northampton Town in the FA Cup fourth round and Rams manager Phillip Cocu may make several changes for the trip to Sixfields.

The Rams reached round four by beating Premier League side Crystal Palace 1-0 at Selhurst Park in round three. Derby made nine changes that day.

With a Championship encounter away at Luton Town following next Tuesday, Derby may make several changes again to the team that beat Hull City 1-0 last weekend.

Here is how we believe Derby will line-up:

Derby are likely to make changes at the back. Northampton are physical, so pairing Curtis Davies and Craig Forsyth for their height advantage would make sense.

Scott Malone is likely to get some minutes, replacing Max Lowe at left-back.

The injury to Krystian Bielik and Graeme Shinnie’s lack of fitness leaves Derby with few options in the middle. Tom Huddlestone and Wayne Rooney will likely keep their places.

Max Bird missed the victory over Hull. The Derby youngster has been excellent since coming into the team in recent weeks, and he deserves another run out.

Duane Holmes and Jason Knight could be rested. That would allow Tom Lawrence to keep his place out on the left, and Morgan Whittaker to come in on the opposite side.

The trip to Northampton may be one game too soon for Jack Marriott. The former Posh striker has missed the past three games with injury after scoring against Barnsley.

Chris Martin started the FA Cup victory at Crystal Palace. The Scotland international may come back in, with Martyn Waghorn rested for the game at Luton Town.
