Some Derby County supporters have taken to Twitter to criticise holding midfielder Krystian Bielik following the Rams’ 3-0 defeat to Championship rivals Charlton Athletic.

Derby, however, were far below their best and Charlton made easy work of picking up all three points as Maucaley Bonne, Conor Gallagher and Naby Sarr netted.
Several Rams fans couldn’t hide their disappointment at full-time, and midfielder Bielik was heavily criticised on social media Twitter for his lacklustre display.
My biggest negative: think of the 2/3 league 1/2 players we could’ve got that are as good or better than Bielik. What a waste of money. #dcfc #dcfcfans

Looks like we have probably had our pants down over the fee for Bielik 😮 #dcfc

Struggling to rate bielik to be honest

Yeah but our midfield has the creativity of a piece of cloth. I really like Bielik but he isn’t exactly prime pirlo

Someone justify how Bielik is worth £10M? #dcfc

Ehhh probably but I dont think it would’ve made that much of a difference. The lack of wingers is killing us, throws everything off tactically. Shinnie’s a battler but having a 3 of Paterson in the 10, Bielik and him doesn’t have an incisive pass in it.

How Bielik thinks he’s premiership standard too, i’ll never know. Get Holmes on #dcfc

Krystian Bielik struggles on his return to Charlton:
Bielik joined Derby in the summer for a reported £10 million fee from Arsenal.
The Poland international, 21, is clearly a work in progress and the potential is there. However, on his return to Charlton where he enjoyed a loan spell last season, he struggled.
Bielik and Graeme Shinnie just didn’t click, and they struggled to build attacks.
But, according to Whoscored, Bielik was Derby’s best performer statistically with a 6.95 rating. He made five tackles and posted a 90.7% pass-accuracy rate.
The former Arsenal man is an easy target due to his price-tag. But supporters must remember he is still young, and he will no doubt get better with time.

It was one of those afternoons for the Rams where nobody played well. They must quickly put it behind them and get ready for Wigan Athletic at home on Wednesday.
