Some Derby County supporters have taken to Twitter to criticise defender Craig Forsyth following his disappointing performance at Wigan Athletic.
The Rams managed to halt their six-game losing streak away from home and scored their first goal on the road since October by grabbing a 1-1 draw at the DW Stadium.

But it was a result which papered over the cracks. Derby were again sluggish, and some supporters have called out Forsyth for having another disappointing afternoon.
Name a more iconic duo then Craig Forsyth and mistakes #dcfc

Why is he carrying on with Forsyth? It’s not working and he has been at fault for 3 goals out of the last 4 ! Play Wisdom 🙏🙏🙏 #dcfc @BBCDerbySport

Forsyth is one of the poorest players in the championship. Don’t care how long he has been out for. We owe him nothing, get rid of him. #dcfc

Forsyth had one good game on his return but has been terrible every since. Not good enough. #dcfc #dcfcfans

Forsyth cost another game. Release him

Forsyth shouldn’t even be in the squad. Just heard Craig Ramage on RD say he lacks confidence….. I know he gets his words mixed up he should have said lacks quality. #dcfc #dcfcfans #radioderby #craigramage

Surely we’ve better players in the kids team than Forsyth. And when I say kids I mean U15’s 🤷♂️ #dcfc

How is Cocu justifying Forsyth getting a game? Hopeless #dcfc

Craig Forsyth has come back into the team in central defence.
The Scot has replaced the injured Matt Clarke. After a year out with an ACL injury, he made his first start of the season in the 1-0 win over Preston last month.
Forsyth was excellent that day. However, the former Watford man has since struggled for form, and his latest display followed on from a shocker he had at Reading.
Forsyth was a liability in possession. He posted a team low 54.2% pass accuracy rate, with his erratic distribution placing unnecessary pressure on the back four.
Wigan’s goal came from inside the six-yard box as Joe Garner swivelled to fire in a volley. Forsyth was marking him, and he was far too weak in his aerial challenge.
Derby need to add a new central defender in January. It has become a top priority for manager Phillip Cocu, while the return of Matt Clarke should make a difference.

The draw leaves the Rams in 17th position in the Championship table.
