According to TEAMtalk, reported Derby County and Celtic linked winger Tom Ince is likely to depart Stoke City this month with a move abroad on the cards.

The talented winger just hasn’t got going during his time at the Bet365 Stadium.

Stoke manager Michael O’Neill seemingly doesn’t have him in his plans, with Ince starting just two Championship games for the Potters this season.

The former Derby County man has been linked with an exit this month.

The Rams were cited as potential suitors via the Stoke Sentinel, while Scottish Premiership champions Celtic have also been accredited with an interest.

TEAMtalk claim the Hoops are keen, but Ince’s likely destination this month will be abroad as clubs from Belgium, Holland and Turkey look to strike a deal for the 28-year-old.

TEAMtalk add that Belgian high-flyers KV Oosende are actively seeking a deal.

Stoke, meanwhile, will likely have to subsidize part of Ince’s wages if he moves out on loan.

The Potters signed the attacker for some £10 million from Huddersfield Town in the summer of 2018. But with just nine goals and 11 assists in 88 games, Ince has disappointed.

His form is some contrast to the 37 goals and 15 assists he posted at Derby in 97 games between 2015 and 2017 which prompted a switch to the Premier League.

Celtic have fallen a long way behind Rangers in the Scottish title race. An in-form Ince could have given them some fresh impetus as they look to save their season.

Derby, on the other hand, are crying out for more creativity. Stoke, however, are unlikely to send Ince to a league rival while it’s unlikely the Rams could afford him regardless.
