According to Sky Sports, Derby County’s Jayden Bogle is set to sign for Sheffield United in a deal worth around £15 million which also includes Max Lowe.

Bogle has long been linked with a move to the Premier League.

After breaking through last season, the attacking right-back was an ever-present in the Rams’ XI and attracted the interests of Burnley (Lancashire Telegraph).

Bogle’s rise impressed former boss Lampard who dubbed him a great talent.

He is a great talent, with everything at his feet as long as he does the right things. I heard he was a talent, and he has shown that he can perform at a top level in the Championship and in our Carabao Cup run at Manchester United and at Chelsea. So, of course, people will look at players who are performing that well.

Derby ultimately held on to Bogle as he completed his second full season last month.

But now, with the Championship club looking for extra funds to help with signings, Derby’s 20-year-old asset is on the verge of a move to the Blades.

Sky Sports claim a £15 million fee has been agreed in principle, while fellow young fullback Max Lowe will also be included in the switch to Bramall Lane.

Many Derby supporters will be disappointed to see two academy graduates depart the club. However, with finances tight, it seems a necessary move.

Manager Phillip Cocu will be hoping he can use the cash to strengthen elsewhere, notably out wide and up front where Derby appear short on pace and quality.
