According to TEAMtalk, Derby County and Bristol City are among a host of Championship clubs eyeing a potential deal for Coventry City’s Zain Westbrooke this summer.
The young midfielder began his career at Chelsea before joining Brentford.
The Bees have a glowing reputation for signing young talent and making a profit on them. Westbrooke, however, could be one of their exceptions following his rapid progress.

The 23-year-old was released last summer and joined Coventry City on a free transfer. It looks like a rare mistake on Brentford’ part with the player excelling at League One level.
Zain Westbrooke impresses at Coventry City:
Westbrooke has started 19 League One games for the Sky Blues this season. He has posted four goals and two assists, helping Coventry to third in the table.

The report claims Derby, Bristol City, West Bromwich Albion and Nottingham Forest are among the clubs considering a move with Coventry rating him at £2 million.
Westbrooke is predominantly an attacking midfielder. While Derby have lacked creativity this season, the club have several exciting academy prospects looking to break in.
Max Bird and Jason Knight have both started Derby’s last two Championship games. The latter is attack-minded and can play either out wide or through the middle.
Louie Sibley, another Derby academy prospect, is also an option to play as a number 10 while new signing Wayne Rooney may be pushed further forward on occasions.

Derby manager Phillip Cocu may opt to strengthen other areas of the team first. The Robins, on the other hand, have room to bring in another attacking midfielder.
