Derby County continue to make key changes to Paul Warne’s squad as the summer transfer window enters the final two weeks.
The Rams have kickstarted their Championship campaign with a 4-2 defeat at the hands of Blackburn Rovers.
It was a far-from-ideal start for Paul Warne, who will be aiming to avoid relegation, but the EFL Cup provided some much-needed momentum.
A 2-1 victory over local side Chesterfield on Tuesday night helped secure passage into the second round of the competition while reinstalling that winning feeling.
Derby will be hopeful to kick on from there, with Pride Park playing host to Middlesbrough on Saturday.
However, one squad member won’t be involved in the match after sealing a loan exit, despite featuring in the opening game of the season.

Tyrese Fornah makes Derby County transfer exit
Derby will be without midfielder Tyrese Fornah this season, following a season-long loan move to League Two outfit Salford City.
The 24-year-old has struggled for minutes at Pride Park since making his switch from rivals Nottingham Forest on a free transfer last summer.
Fornah has racked up just 24 appearances for the club, 13 of which came from the starting lineup.
The Sierra Leone international has made one Championship appearance for Derby this season, featuring from the bench against Blackburn on the opening day of the season.
While it may have suggested a role in the squad for the campaign, Fornah’s switch to League Two confirms otherwise.
Derby County midfield transfer rebuild
Fornah’s exit for the campaign is the latest of a long string of changes that have occurred over the past few months at Derby.
Conor Hourihane, Max Bird and Korey Smith are just a few names who have left the club over the past few months.
The permanent signings of Ebou Adams, Kenzo Goudmijn and Ben Osborn, alongside David Ozoh’s loan from Crystal Palace, have moved the club on in that department.
With bigger squad sizes though, it may hint at another addition in the market soon, though it remains to be seen which position that could be.
In the meantime, Fornah will get some much-needed senior minutes while on loan at Salford for the season.
