Derby County have seen a bid rejected for this Charlton Athletic favourite.
Derby County are yet to make any new signings in this January transfer window, but Paul Warne‘s side certainly look like they’re plotting a few.
The Rams are working on an extended loan deal for Tyreece John-Jules whilst also doing their best to keep hold of the likes of Max Bird and Eiran Cashin.
And one name now linked with a potential move to Pride Park this month is Charlton Athletic attacker Corey Blackett-Taylor.
The 26-year-old former Aston Villa man has scored eight and assisted six in 25 League One outings so far this season, and he’s a person of interest to Derby.

Football Insider reported earlier today that Derby County had seen a £250,000 bid for Blackett-Taylor rejected by Charlton, despite the Englishman now being in the final six months of his contract.
Since, journalist Richard Cawley has revealed that personal terms are ‘no issue’ and that if the Rams eventually have a bid accepted then Blackett-Taylor to Pride Park looks like a done deal.

Cawley also added that Blackett-Taylor has been a target for Derby County since last summer.
The player is yet to renew his stay at The Valley and Cawley says that could be a big indicator as to whether or not he leaves this month.

Derby County are one of the highest scoring teams in the league with 47 goals to their name already this season.
But Warne has been relying quite heavily on the goals of James Collins who, right now, is one of Derby’s only fit and available attackers.
Nathaniel Mendez-Laing has also been in fine form and Martyn Waghorn netted his share of goals before succumbing to injury.
So with John-Jules currently set to return to Arsenal this month, attacking options are very thin, and so attacking additions looks like a priority this month.
And Blackett-Taylor, once described as a ‘menace’ to defenders by former Charlton boss Johnnie Jackson, would be a hugely impressive addition to the Rams’ ranks.
He’s a very similar player to Mendez-Laing in that he can create and score goals, but Blackett-Taylor also has the ability to play as a no.9, and that kind of versatility could be massively helpful for Derby in their quest for promotion.
But Charlton look to be playing hardball and what their valuation of the player is remains to be seen.
Derby County don’t look likely to surpass this £250,000 by much. But he’s clearly someone who Warne desperately wants to sign and with the top two now within touching distance, the club might yet back Warne heavily in the window this month.
