According to the Daily Mail, Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and Newcastle United are looking at Everton’s Cenk Tosun who reportedly rejected a move to Derby County.

The Turkey international is currently out of favour at Goodison Park.

A report by Turkish editorial Gunes claimed Derby made an ambitious move to sign Tosun on loan. The striker, however, is holding out for a better move elsewhere.

Teams in Germany and Turkey’s top-flight are said to be keen. And now the Daily Mail add a list of Premier League suitors who could try to conclude a deal this month.

Why Palace and Villa may seek Cenk Tosun deal:

Palace, Newcastle and Villa are all looking to preserve their top-flight status. The latter in particular are currently just one place above the drop zone and facing injuries.

Summer signing Wesley is out for the season with a knee injury. The striker will need to be replaced, and Tosun could be an ideal fit considering his similar playing style.

The Everton forward, 28, has started just two Premier League games this season.

Derby can’t match his current £110,000 per week wages. Palace and Villa, however, could and the Villans may feel he is a gamble worth taking in their fight for survival.

The Rams have more pressing areas to strengthen this month. Phillip Cocu’s side should be seeking a new central defender and a quick wide player.

Palace’s injury problems were also evident as they lost 1-0 to Derby in the FA Cup on Sunday. The Eagles look blunt upfront and a new striker is now seemingly a priority.
