Derby County now face stiff competition from Portsmouth for a League One star.
Derby County joined league champions Portsmouth as they won promotion back to the Championship, with both clubs now eager to bolster their squad.
The Rams have already offloaded a number of players including captain Conor Hourihane and Golden Glove winner Joe Wildsmith.
Derby have already been linked with a number of stars to help them avoid relegation, while they are also looking back to the third tier to strengthen their ranks.
The Midlands outfit have been tipped to go in for Peterborough United captain Harrison Burrows, with the defender entering the final 12 months of his contract.

Posh’s failure to win promotion means he could well earn himself a move to the Championship, having picked up six goals and 15 goal contributions last season.
Derby were already set to face fierce competition for Burrows’ signature from the likes of Norwich, Watford and Coventry.
It now looks like the challenge is set to get even harder though, with Peterborough Telegraph reporting that Portsmouth are now showing an interest.
However, it has been reported that Pompey are already concerned about being priced out of a move for the ‘amazing‘ left-back.
It is believed that Burrows could cost over £5 million this summer, despite approaching the final year of his deal at The Weston Homes Stadium.
Derby County definitely have their flaws at left-back, with Louie Sibley playing a large chunk of the season there.
Craig Forsyth and Callum Elder have both battled for the position but have struggled to establish regular places in the team, making 33 starts between them.
With Sibley yet to sign a new contract at Pride Park, the club need to start looking into bolstering either side of their backline.
How do Derby County compete financially for his signing?
Burrows could be a really strong signing and would help them both defensively and offensively.
However, paying over £5m could be a stretch for Paul Warne‘s side. The increasing interest in his signature is also likely to bump up the price as the summer moves on too.
Portsmouth are likely to be the least of their worries, with a number of clubs who will be targeting promotion involved in the race.
The Rams face a tough situation if signing players good enough to keep them in the Championship, but also having to palm off clubs that are much more comfortable and financially stable – an everlasting problem for promoted teams.
