According to Football Insider, Derby County are battling rivals Nottingham Forest for the signature of Ravel Morrison after the player became a free agent.
Morrison’s contract at ADO Den Haag was cancelled earlier this month.
It was the former Manchester United playmaker’s seventh club in the past three years, following several unsuccessful loan spells and failed short-term deals.

Morrison just needs a fresh start and a chance to revitalise his career.
The ability is there, with former Middlesbrough manager Jonathan Woodgate labelling him an outstanding talent during a loan spell at the Riverside Stadium last year.

Rangers, meanwhile, reportedly wanted to sign him in 2019. Morrison told The Times how Steven Gerrard wanted to bring him to Ibrox and opened talks over a move.
A deal with Gers, however, failed to materialise as Morrison later joined Ostersund.
Now, the 27-year-old is again searching for a new club and east Midlands rivals Nottingham Forest and Derby County have registered an interest in him.

Derby boss Wayne Rooney is said to be a fan of his former United teammate.
Derby have desperately lacked creativity and goals this season. On only two occasions have the Rams managed to score more than once in a game, both coming under Rooney.
Morrison could operate out wide or through the middle, providing competition for the likes of Jason Knight, Louie Sibley, Kamil Jozwiak and Tom Lawrence in the more creative roles.
