Derby County have finally sealed a deal for midfield star Ebou Adams on a permanent transfer from Cardiff City.
It comes after an impressive loan stint at Pride Park, where the Gambian international transformed the fortunes of Paul Warne’s team.
In midfield, Adams added a combative, all-action nature that was otherwise missing from the team before his arrival.
After 17 appearances for Derby, the midfielder only saw his side concede nine goals on their way towards an impressive promotion from League One.
The Championship offers new challenges, but one that Adams is ready to take on with a Ram on his chest permanently, after sealing a move back to Moor Farm.

Ebou Adams transfer fee
Plenty of speculation has followed a move for Adams this summer, with questions over exactly when a deal might be struck.
Derby, who have been stung on transfer fees in the past, played a patient game to ensure they landed their target for the right price.
Different numbers have been banded around in relation to the switch, ranging from six-to-seven-figure sums.
However, it appears as though the actual fee is now available.
According to BBC Radio Derby reporter Dominic Dietrich, the Rams paid in the region of £500,000 to secure the move.
It is uncertain as to whether there are add-ons involved in the deal that could take it beyond that initial figure.
However, given the impact of Adams in the short spell he spent at the club, many fans will be happy regardless of the final fee.
It now means that Derby boss Warne has his fifth signing of the summer transfer window, with plenty more left to come.

Next Derby County transfer
With five deals now secured, Derby will be moving swiftly onto the next few options that can bolster the squad for next season.
A midfield rebuild has been crucial, with Kenzo Goudmijn and Ben Osborn joining Adams in that department.
There is still a chance that one or two others could join those central ranks, with a number ten still missing from the team.
Beyond that, there’s also a desire to strengthen in every other position too, with vacancies at goalkeeper, in the defence and the forward areas.
It’s still going to be a busy few weeks for the Rams as they gear up for their big return to the second tier.
