AFC Wimbledon manager Glyn Hodges told London News Online last month how Joe Pigott’s form would attract suitors amid Derby County and Birmingham City interest.
The 26-year-old forward has been linked with a host of Championship Clubs.
Wales Online claimed Reading and Swansea City cast an eye over him in the summer.

And now TEAMtalk say Derby, Birmingham, Bristol City and Huddersfield Town have joined the race following Pigott’s wonderful form for AFC Wimbledon.
The Dons skipper has posted six goals and four assists in 11 League One games this season, prompting his manager Glyn Hodges to sound him out as a leader.

Joe has had the captain’s armband. It’s a privileged position and he has grown into it. He’s proud to do it and is leading from the front. When he scored 18 goals for us in the 2018-19 season to help us stay up there was a lot of stuff that summer. Performances like he puts in attract publicity. We’ve not had any interest yet, but you never know in the window.
Pigott’s contract at AFC Wimbledon expires in the summer of 2021.
The League One club may prefer to cash in on him in January rather than risk losing him for free next summer. Wales Online add he could be available for a bargain £200,000.
His form and contract situation makes strong interest in him inevitable.
Birmingham have struggled for goals under Aitor Karanka. The Spanish boss likes to deploy a strong centre-forward in a 4-3-3 system, and Pigott could be ideal for the Blues.
Derby, on the other hand, are desperately crying out for a new striker in January.
The departure of Chris Martin, who joined Bristol City on a free transfer, has left a huge void at Pride Park. In 11 games this term, the Rams have scored just five goals.

Phillip Cocu’s side are in a hole and January can’t come around quick enough.
Aside from his goals, Pigott is good in the air – standing at 6ft 2inch – while he can hold the ball up and bring others into play. The 26-year-old is ready for a shot at the Championship.
