Derby County completed their ninth signing of the summer last week when they snapped up Jacob Widell Zetterstrom.
The Rams have worked hard to bolster all areas of the pitch after winning promotion to the Championship.
Derby parted ways with nine players at the end of last season and have done a good job in replacing them, with five midfielders leaving the club meaning there was one position they were desperate to bolster.
The Midlands outfit have so far brought Ebou Adams back to the club, as well as signing Kenzo Goudmijn, Ben Osborn and David Ozoh.
Despite strengthening in the middle of the park, it appears Paul Warne is still keen to bring in another player before next week’s deadline.

Derby County targeting new midfielder before Tuesday
After chatting to Warne post-match, journalist Dominic Dietrich wrote on X: “Transfer wise Paul Warne is hopeful he’ll have a midfielder on loan in the building for Barrow on Tuesday. One of the three targets could be a free agent and the other two loans. Asked about Tyreece John-Jules and he was quick to dismiss it.”
Who could the Rams be looking at?
It’s unclear who Derby are targeting, but a loan deal could suggest they are looking to the Premier League to bolster their ranks.
Ozoh has impressed since arriving from Crystal Palace and may have proven to Warne that it is a sensible route to go down.
As for a free agent, there are a number of options who are currently without a club.
Jack Cork was released by Burnley over the summer, while the likes of Dan Potts, Emiliano Marcondes and Fred Onyedinma recently departed the top flight.
As for the Championship, Derby could have the likes of Jake Livermore, Corry Evans and Jeff Hendrick to pick from.
The Rams won’t want to get players in for the sake of it, but bringing in an experienced head could help them out both on and off the pitch.
The club lost some leadership when they offloaded Conor Hourihane and a few others, so snapping someone up on a free transfer who has been around the Championship for years could be really beneficial.
