Peterborough United’s Ivan Toney says speculation doesn’t affect him amid reports that Derby County, Middlesbrough and Barnsley want to sign him, Peterborough Today report.
A recent report by TEAMtalk claim the Championship trio are keen on Toney.

The striker joined Posh from Newcastle United 13 months ago. During the summer, he was reportedly the subject of a failed £4 million bid from a Championship club.
Toney continues to be linked with a move, but he isn’t letting that affect his focus.
Speculation is speculation, that is all it is, I don’t let it affect me. You can see that’s been the case because I was in good form around that point in August and ever since. My job is score as many goals as I can and help the team and that is my sole focus.

TEAMtalk also claim Boro and Derby are keen on Toney’s teammate Marcus Maddison. The attacker has a reported release clause of just 2.5 million.
Toney’s price tag, however, is likely to be much higher. The 23-year-old has netted eight times in nine League One games this season, showing his potential.
Derby have a good relationship with Peterborough. The Rams signed Jack Marriott from Posh in the summer of 2018, and he has become a fan favourite at Pride Park.

With Martyn Waghorn and Chris Martin also on the books, Derby perhaps don’t need Toney as much as Boro or Barnsley. The Tykes, especially, sold Kieffer Moore to Wigan Athletic in the summer and they have struggled to replace his goals this season.
