According to the BBC, Barnsley have seen a substantial bid for reported Derby County target Lyndon Dykes turned down by Scottish Premiership side Livingston.
The Australia international has been heavily linked with a move after a super campaign.
Dykes posted 12 goals and ten assists for Livingston in all competitions this term.
The forward’s form attracted a host of interest. TEAMtalk claimed back in November how Derby, Blackburn and Cardiff City were among the Championship clubs leading the race.
But the latest reports claim Barnsley have made a move for him.

The Tykes secured their Championship status on a thrilling last day with a stunning late 2-1 win at automatic promotion chasers Brentford.
Wigan Athletic took their spot in the bottom three following a 12-point deduction.
Barnsley, after preserving their Championship spot for next season, have quickly made moves in the market but their £1 million bid for Dykes has been rebuffed.
The BBC claim the offer wasn’t enough to allow Dykes to talk to the Yorkshire club.

The Rams must look at strengthening their forward options. Chris Martin is out of contract and could leave, while Jack Marriott has endured a torrid campaign with injuries.
Martyn Waghorn is Derby’s leading number nine. However, the former Ipswich Town man is now in his thirties and his own contact expires next year.
Dykes stands at 6ft 2inch but is quick and energetic. He could be exactly the sort of striker manager Phillip Cocu is looking for to lead the line next season.
