According to TEAMtalk, Derby County and Huddersfield Town are among several Championship clubs eyeing a potential deal for AFC Wimbledon’s Joe Pigott.
The 26-year-old is making a name for himself at Wimbledon.
After scoring 18 goals in all competitions for the League One club in 2018/19, he scored the first goal at Wimbledon’s new Plough Lane stadium.
Pigott’s form has attracted plenty of interest from Championship clubs.

TEAMtalk claims Derby, Huddersfield, Bristol City and Birmingham City are interested.

Wales Online, meanwhile, claimed Swansea City and Reading were keen during the transfer window with Pigott’s contract at Wimbledon expiring in the summer of 2021.
The Welsh editorial add how he could be available for a bargain £200,000.
Wimbledon would surely prefer to cash in rather than potentially lose him for free next summer, though the Dons will be hopeful his form drives a bidding war in January.
Aside from his goals, the striker stands at 6ft 2inch and enjoys the physical battle. Moreover, he brings teammates into play and provides a focal point up top.
Derby are desperately lacking a player of this ilk following Chris Martin’s departure in the summer. The Scotland international later joined Bristol City on a free transfer.
The Rams lost their seventh Championship game of the season at home to Barnsley. Phillip Cocu’s side are bottom of the table and are struggling for goals.

The inability to replace Martin is playing a big role in the team’s struggles and January seemingly can’t come quick enough as they’re crying out for a new centre-forward.
Pigott fits the profile. However, Derby reportedly have heavy competition for his signature with Huddersfield also lacking a strong centre-forward after selling Karlam Grant.
