According to the Northern Echo, Derby County are keen on Everton’s Yannick Bolasie while Blackburn Rovers and Millwall also seek a loan deal for him.

The former Crystal Palace winger is out of favour at Goodison Park.

Bolasie has bags of talent. However, injuries last season kept him out of the side while manager Carlo Ancelotti’s summer signings have pushed him down the pecking order.

The Northern Echo claim he is set for a loan. Derby are named as suitors, while Blackburn and Millwall have reportedly held talks with Everton officials over a move.

Middlesbrough are also in the running, with manager Neil Warnock previously telling the Northern Echo how the Everton man is an unbelievable talent at his best.

What would he bring? Frustration! One minute he’s unbelievable, the next you’re asking, ‘Is he a footballer?’ He’s a good lad and I’ve always liked him – but whether it comes off, we’ll see.

Derby have had an interesting window, with a soft transfer embargo hindering their ability to strengthen early on while experienced players have left the club.

Chris Martin left at the end of his contract which weakened the striker position, while Jack Marriott’s latest move to Sheffield Wednesday on loan have left some fans bewildered.

But could a move for Bolasie make sense? While predominantly a winger, the former £28 million man has played as a centre-forward and seemingly fits the profile.

Bolasie stands at 6ft 2inch. He is strong, good in the air and extremely mobile.

Derby manager Phillip Cocu’s good relationship with Everton director of football Marcel Brands could be key, with the two figures forming great success at PSV Eindhoven.

The Rams are desperate for a new centre-forward, but time is against them while Millwall and Blackburn seemingly pose strong competition for Bolasie’s signature.
