According to The Athletic, Derby County are open to selling Jack Marriott in January but would only entertain a ‘decent offer’ for the currently injured striker.
Marriott joined Derby from Peterborough United back in 2018.
Sky Sports claim Marriott joined Derby for a fee rising to £5 million, with then manager Frank Lampard also splashing out on Martyn Waghorn, Florian Jozefzoon and Scott Malone.
But while the 2018-19 campaign was a memorable one for Derby supporters, ending in a playoff final defeat to Aston Villa, the squad has deteriorated since.

Marriott became somewhat of a cult figure during his debut season at Derby. However, he has since struggled with injuries and a subsequent loss of form.
MORE DERBY STORIES
The 26-year-old has netted just three league goals post Frank Lampard’s reign.
Derby later felt he was surplus to requirements, allowing him to join Championship rivals Sheffield Wednesday on deadline day during the summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old is back at Derby after picking up yet another injury while at Hillsborough. New Owls manager Tony Pulis even admitted he never spoke to the player.
Derby and Wednesday both find themselves in the bottom three and short on goals.

But instead of turning to Marriott, it seems the Rams are open to selling the player as they look to make some moves in January to ensure their Championship survival.
No club will pay Derby what they shelved out on the striker in 2018, therefore it’s seemingly a case of the Rams looking to cut their losses should a ‘decent’ offer arrive.
It just hasn’t worked out for Marriott. The former Posh man is a natural goal scorer, but he needs a team to play to his strengths with his all-round game based on solely being a poacher.
