According to the Sun, Cardiff City new manager Mick McCarthy wants to give Josh Murphy another chance amid speculation of a move to Derby County or Nottingham Forest.
The talented winger cost Cardiff £11 million from Norwich City back in 2018.
Murphy was a regular under former boss Neil Warnock, but his successor Neil Harris had other ideas with the 25-year-old making just 14 Championship appearances so far.

A recent report from The Sun claimed Cardiff were interested in loaning him out. Derby, Forest and Sheffield Wednesday were all cited as suitors for the winger.
But following the sacking of Harris and subsequent arrival of former Republic of Ireland boss Mick McCarthy, the winger’s situation in the Welsh capital could change.

The Sun claims McCarthy wants to give Murphy a fresh start with Cardiff.
The Bluebirds have underachieved this season as a run of five straight Championship defeats has left them 13 points off Bournemouth who currently occupy the last playoff spot.
A fit and firing Murphy could help Cardiff turn their season around.
Forest and Derby, meanwhile, are struggling and below Cardiff in the table. The Reds may be targeting another wide player to provide extra impetus at the City Ground.
Derby, on the other hand, must address their lack of creativity in the final third.

The Rams are defensively sound, posting seven clean sheets in their last ten games. However, their struggles this season are simply a result of a lack of goals at the opposite end.
Kamil Jozwiak, Jason Knight, Tom Lawrence and Martyn Waghorn have all struggled to provide that spark going forward this season, resulting in just 15 goals in 24 league games.
