According to the Stoke Sentinel, there is a hunt on for Stoke City striker Lee Gregory who spent the second half of last season on loan at Derby County.
Gregory joined Derby on loan late in the January transfer window.
The former Millwall man made an immediate impact at Pride Park. He scored key goals in wins over Middlesbrough and Luton Town before his injury.
A hamstring injury in the early April win over Luton cut Gregory’s season short.

Derby picked up 15 points from the 11 games Gregory featured in. The Rams, however, managed just one point from the subsequent eight matches after his injury.

The Stoke striker made a telling contribution to Derby. Wayne Rooney described Gregory as an enthusiastic striker with plenty of energy and positive influence.
The Rams’ chances of re-signing him, however, could be quite slim.
The Stoke Sentinel suggests other clubs looking at the striker. Gregory’s contract at the Bet365 Stadium expires next summer and the Potters appear keen to sell now.
Derby must address their striker issues this summer.

The Rams finished the season as the lowest scorers in the Championship. Moreover, Martyn Waghorn may depart for free as his contract is set to expire.
Colin Kazim-Richards turns 35 in August. Jack Stretton, meanwhile, is inexperienced.
Rooney wants the club to sort their takeover business out but with EFL charges still unresolved, it could be a frustrating summer at Derby.
