According to Football Insider, Rangers are eyeing a move for Elfsborg defender Joseph Okumu with Derby County loanee George Edmundson’s future uncertain.
Edmundson joined Derby on loan from Rangers in the January transfer window.
The former Oldham Athletic centre-back struggled for game-time at Ibrox as Connor Goldson, Filip Helander and Leon Balogun regularly feature for Steven Gerrard’s side.

Gerrard told the Daily Record six months ago how Edmundson has the potential to become a top player, but his lack of playing time was stumping his progress.
The 23-year-old made just one sub appearance in the Scottish Premiership this term.
And now, fresh reports from Football Insider claim his long-term future at Ibrox is uncertain with Rangers looking to sign Elfsborg’s Jospeh Okumu this coming summer.
Okumu’s arrival at Gers would push Edmundson further down the pecking order.
The Rangers defender has made five Championship starts for Derby since moving to Pride Park, scoring in the 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town last month.
Derby are in a scrap for Championship survival, and manager Wayne Rooney has made it clear how he expects the Rams to stay up and push on this coming summer.

The defence is evidently an area which needs addressing, with regular centre-back Matt Clarke only on loan while Andre Wisdom’s contract expires in June.
Edmundson could be an ideal target to sign on a permanent deal, and the latest reports suggest the Scottish Premiership champions may be happy to move him on.
