Livingston forward Lyndon Dykes has told the Herald he wants to move to a bigger club amid reported interest from Derby County, Blackburn Rovers and Middlesbrough.

A November report by TEAMtalk claim Derby, Blackburn, Boro, Cardiff City and Bristol City have all sent scouts to watch him in action in recent weeks.

Dykes has been in fine form for Livingston this season. The 6ft 1ich forward has posted five goals and two assists in 14 games – including a strike in the 2-0 win over Celtic.

He told the Herald he has read paper talk regarding scouts watching him in action ahead of January. And he has set his sights on making a potential move happen.

I have heard about interest and scouts watching me but my goal is to reach as high as I can. One day move onto a better league and a bigger team. But I want to prove week-in, week-out that I’m a player people want. I look at paper talk, which isn’t always set in stone. But I want to make it happen, I’ll always work hard to have a good career.

Could Lyndon Dykes help provide the goals for struggling duo?

Dykes is rated at £250,000 by Transfermarkt. He could turn out to be a bargain buy for the likes of Derby and Boro who are struggling for goals this season.

Boro have netted just 16 times in 18 Championship games. Their struggles in-front of goal see Jonathan Woodgate’s side battling down near the relegation zone.

Derby, meanwhile, have scored 19 goals in 18 games. Manager Phillip Cocu has been dealt a difficult hand at Pride Park since succeeding Frank Lampard last summer.

The Rams are strong at home. However, away from Pride Park, they haven’t won since the opening day of the season and haven’t scored on the road since October.

January could turn out to be a big month for all three clubs. Dykes, 24, has plenty of potential and seemingly the confidence that he could make an impact at Championship level.
