Luton Town boss Graeme Jones told Luton’s official website that Derby County have some exceptional individuals who will give his side a real test this weekend.

Graeme Jones’s side have taken well to the Championship following their promotion from League One. They currently sit in 17th position, one point behind the Rams.

But Derby are coming into some form right now. Phillip Cocu’s side are four unbeaten, and the goals are coming. Jones is expecting a tough game at Pride Park.

We have to give Derby full respect, they play 4-2-3-1 and they’ve got exceptional individuals. They have obviously spent a lot of money on players, so we just need to go there and be ready for the fixture. I think Derby have only lost two games this season, we’re expecting a really, really competitive game and one we have to be ready for.

Derby have made an indifferent start to the season. Their lowly position of 16th arguably doesn’t reflect the performances from Phillip Cocu’s men so far.

The Rams have suffered defeat just twice. Moreover, questionable officiating or bad luck have denied them wins against West Bromwich Albion, Cardiff City and Barnsley.

Derby, however, have a weakness Luton will look to exploit. Of the Rams’ 15 goals conceded this season, incredibly nine of them have come via set-pieces.

The Hatters will surely look to target Derby from corners and freekicks. Phillip Cocu’s side must be switched on, while goalkeeper Kelle Roos must show more authority of his area.
